Hello all,
I have been running DAVID to extract GO_BP_FAT enriched categories in my gene list. DAVID has identified the category 'protein targetting to ER' (GO:004504) as enriched due to the appearance of genes RPSA, RPL15, SPCS1, RPL10A, RPLP0 in my list. However, when I checked manually the ribosomal genes RPSA, RPL15, RPL10A, RPLP0 in QuickGO, I did not find any connection between them and this category. Couls you please help me explain this phenomenon? How can I avoid such false annotations in analysis with DAVID?
