Hello everyone,
We are a group of students at Carnegie Mellon University, and as part of a course project, we are developing a Java-based wrapper for easier access to the DAVID webservice API programmatically. We found that the Java client that is provided officially is not very intuitive to use, and our project aims at creating some easy-to-use interfaces in Java, similar to that provided by RDAVIDWebService package for R (http://bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/html/RDAVIDWebService.html).
Does anyone who uses the webservice programmatically or otherwise be willing to connect with us, to help us understand some of the use cases? We do not have adequate domain knowledge to fully understand this webservice, and it would be great if we can talk to you guys and deliver something useful. We would make this final API publicly available once we complete it by the end of next month.
Please let us know if you would be interested in something like this, and if you are willing to connect, you can reach us at kartikri@andrew.cmu.edu.
Thanks!
