Hi,
When i was uploading the gene list as the background (16,000 genes) either copy-paste or file (ensembl id), it always stuck at 20%. I tried different wifi, browser and different OS but still, not sure what happened
Thanks, KL

I FOUND THE ANSWER!!!! You need to upload the gene list FIRST! Then you can upload the background without issue.

I'm also having this problem and have encountered it before. I always have the foreground list uploaded first, so that is not a solution for me. Regardless of the order, if I upload a gene list, but click "background", I get the stall out at 20%. I have no trouble running the foreground list against the genome.
My lists are Wormbase IDs, and are pretty small: 751 and 1275.

Hi David, Could you clarify what you mean by click "background"? Do you mean the Background tab or the "Step 3:List Type" Background of the upload tab? If you mean "Step 3:List Type", then you must have first successfully uploaded a list using a "Step 3:List Type" of "Gene List". If you have successfully uploaded a list with "Gene List" selected in "Step 3:List Type", you will see species and a list name in the "List" tab. If you still have issues with uploading the background, then please send your background list to us and we will look into the issue further. Regards, Brad

Hi, thanks for getting back so promptly! In answer to your question, I am using step 3 on the gene lists tab, checking background.I've attached the foreground as classA.list, and the background as classAB.list. Thanks again, David Attachments:classAB.list (18.67 KB)
classA.list (11 KB)

Thanks for the files David. I was able to successfully load both classA as a gene list followed by classAB as a background. Please be sure to follow the steps outlined in the attached image and let us know if you are still having issues.

Thank you, I must have been wrong about the order before. It's working now.
